Calaveras County Office of Education

Achieving Excellence Together

  • Comprehensive Sexual Health Education

California law requires that students receive comprehensive sexual health education in middle and high school. CCOE supports districts in meeting this requirement by assisting in the selection and procurement of state-approved curriculum materials and by connecting teachers with curriculum training.

We also partner with school nurses, the Public Health Department, First 5, the Resource Connection, Prevent Child Abuse Calaveras and others to provide resource information to school staff and students.
